Okay so i get around to installing the new motherboard,..the only thing i changed out of this computer tower is the motherboard, CPU (AMD sempron 2800+),..and ram,..i put a 512 stick in it,...im using my old harddrive,...anyways so i install the motherboard and everything is hooked up fine,..i go to turn on the computer and after it runs the intial shit,..it takes me to a blue screen that says:
"A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
If this is the first time you"ve seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. IF this screen appears again, follow these steps:
Disable or uninstall any anti-virus, disk defragmentation or backup utilities. Check your hard drive configuration, and check for updated drivers. Run CHKDSK /F to check for hard drive corruption, and then restart your computer."
so im like "wtf",...i thought my HD was fux0red or something,..but when i put in my old motherboard and went to boot, everything is fine,...is there something in bios i have to do or something to get this computer to work with this new motherboard? or is the motherboard bad or something,..the guy who gave me this motherboard said it was working when it left his computer and yes he is a trustworthy guy,...its one of my old bosses
