I don't know why I have always liked the red-headed stepchild of the photography world, but I had them and used them since I was a freshman in high school.
I would still be shooting film if it weren't for the workflow requirements of work and the fact that most magazines now won't accept or have problems accepting film based submissions anymore.
I say dust off the film bodies and use them, the images out of camera are generally sharper, the colors are brighter, and just stand out a lot more than a straight digital created file. Besides you can get the negatives scanned to disc and play with them in PS if you want to.
