Well, I haven't posted here in quite a while, but have been busy and not had much to say. But, now I have a story to tell, so here it goes.
Last Friday night someone broke into my 94 Ex coupe and took all of my stereo equipment that I had. They smashed my driver's side window and then just went in from there I suppose. Stuff stolen was: Pioneer 7500 CD player, Kicker L7 sub, Legacy amp, as well as my capacitor, wiring blocks, crossover, all my cd's, and even my tool kit that I had in there.
As many of you guys might know, there is a trunk release on the floor by the driver's seat that locks so that you cannot open the trunk from the inside of the car. Being the safe person that I am, I of course had that locked. However, whoever broke in actually drilled/hacked out the core of that lock and simply popped my trunk anyway. I guess that my trunk wasn't as safe as I had thought it was.
So now I am left without any music or music equipment. I'll probably just throw in my stock Honda tape deck so I at least have a radio. My problem now is basically just getting a window in. Most of my quotes have been about $170-200 for the glass and installation. Does this seem like a reasonable price to you guys, or should I maybe try to buy a used window and put it in myself? Please give me some suggestions.
It is such a shame that a few people in this world can ruin what many of us work so hard for and take the satisfaction out of this hobby that we enjoy.....
