I used it, and I found it had very little impact on my weight/metabo. It's supposed to speed up your metabo, and I took it for several weeks and didn't notice a difference. It may work for some, but not for me.
If you're doing as much cardio as I think you're doing (considering you're a MA guy), I'd "dirty bulk" (heavy lifting routine, very high calorie diet, concentrate on muscle mass, worry about losing fat
after you gain enough muscle) if I were you. The cardio will help keep the fat down while you're bulking, and continuing and increasing your cardio after the bulk will burn off the rest of the fat.
I recommend lots of chicken and beef for meat, protien shakes after workout (optimum nutrition 100% whey is high quality, yummy, and relatively inexpensive), and boiled eggs before bed. Eat a moderate amount of carbs and fat during bulking, and cut down on carbs/fat after bulking. Fiber is your friend. Try rye instead of white bread, brown rice insead of white, etc.
For lifting, I'd recommend starting with a simple routing like max-OT. If you want to make more progress faster, you may want to work up to something like HST (hypertrophy specific training).
