door trim help?
i asked this in the Cosmetic forum a while back but didn't really get a response, so first off my apologies if that's against the rules or something.
copied and pasted:
i search and came up w/nothing, so here's my post:
my driver-side door trim (correct me if that's wrong terminology) was "broken" when i got my car (loose from the door), and finally "flew off" while driving home one night cuz i didn't push it down to "secure" it........
whatever
now i have just rubber (that also looks like it wants to fly off on the freeway) attached to a bare door, and a piece of molding that looks even worse than it did before because the holding-clips (they look like just clips) are broken and there's no trim to help hold it down.
so getting to the question, if i go to a junkyard, how do i pull those pieces off w/o damaging them?? and how to i securely attach the trim once i get a replacement??
i have a '95 civic DX coupe
here's a pic to show what i'm talking about
yellow is what i'm calling trim
green is what i'm calling molding
