Orange Peel is not from incorrect preporation. Orange Peel is about how the paint is applied. A painter can reduce orange peel by "slicking out" the clear, which means thicker coats...but the bad part about Slicking out the clear is that it's more prone to run. If you want to get rid of orange peel...Wet Sand the car with 1500 grit sandpaper, then 2000 grit...then buff and polish.
