I just had the alternator replaced on my 1998 AV6 (133,000 miles) yesterday. Now, the a/c comes on but does not blow out cold air even when turned down to the coldest setting (60). I also can't "hear" it start up when i turn it on. I know nothing about cars but I assume they had to disconnect the battery at some point yesterday. Could that have done anything to make the a/c not cool now?
