That's a good thing, because if you wanted a fast car, you should sell the Prelude and get a C4 Corvette, or Rustang. If you want a car to post up next to on Saturday nights (and be original in the process), go get a Hyundai and bling it out, everything else has been done.
If you want a car that looks good, handles well, is sporty feeling and is reasonable to drive in the real world where gas prices are above $2/gal you buy a 'Lude. My point is a 19" wheel is not light (unless you have $2k per wheel to spend), that much unsprung, rotational mass, along with a taller overall final gear ratio, is a real killer to any performance that car does have.
I agree with you completely, but if the guy wants 19's then let him get 19's, along with more weight, worse gas milage, a bad ride, and flames from people like us.
