If you want something with a good motor, the general rule for muscle cars is '72 or older. If you're gonna build the motor then a newer one would work.

The one exception to this rule is the Pontiac Trans Am which was available with the 455 H.O. big block up thru most of the 70s. It wasn't as powerful as the pre-'73 big blocks, but it still hauls pretty good.
First, I appreciate your post because its the only useful one in this thread. Second, it has a 350 small block in the there and from little research I did, you can get 400-600whp easy. Why 74 and not pre 70s is cause its free. Plain and simple.
