I removed the oil squirters in my GSR bottom end and plugged the holes. I rev to 9.5k all the time (with forged internals) with an LS crankchaft. No problems. Squirters are definitely not necessary if you're running forged internals.

I know many people who run ls/vtec setups reliably daily without oil squirters. Its definitely not worth $600.
