I have a 95 LS. At idle my car makes a weird knocking/clattering noise. When i press the clutch down it stops and sounds ok. When i accelerate from a dead stop in first it makes the same type of noise and seems to go away as i gain speed, could be that i just can't hear it anymore.

anyone know what this is? i'm gonna be dropping the tranny to have a look at the clutch, maybe a release bearing? What about a main tranny bearing?

any help would be great then maybe i could order the part ahead of time and not have my car in pieces waiting for parts
