OK, I drove the car to work and then school today and I noticed the sound was quieter than it was yesterday. It seems to do it when the car is first warming up and then intermittantly does it when idling and coming to a stop with the clutch engaged in gear. I am planning on replacing my clutch and flywheel soon but if it is a problem, I will replace it sooner. I have a feeling it is clutch or transmission related but there was no noticable symptoms other than the noise. The engine still pulls hard and I have no problems getting it into gear, so I guess I will wait until either the noise goes away (which it never does, but I will cross my fingers) or it becomes a more noticable mechanical symptom so I can further diagnose it.
