if you really want a beginner bike and dont want to pay alot, my brother bought a ninja 250. Its still quick, but nothing like the 600's out there. Its very forgiving for a bike, which is what you want when your a beginner. also, for the beginner bikes, they hold their value really well, my brother bought his for 2,500 and then sold it for 2,800 and he put nothing into it. he had it for a year then sold it to get a bigger bike. Plus you will have no problem selling it either. because there are a ton of people looking for beginner bikes.
