It sounds to me if you pretty much cut the fast foods and other junk out of you diet you will be fine. I am pretty sure I remember you saying a couple of times that you have a very fast metabolism, and when you add cardio ot that, it will make it a lot faster.
Bagels arent bad in moderation without a whole bunch of crap on them. It is all about eating less than you body needs + what it burns in a 24 hour period. Your body REQUIRES about 800 calories a day. You burn about 2000 just by being alive and getting around. If you want to burn more than that, do some cardio, and you fat burning metabolism almost doubles, so for about 2-3 hours after cardio, you burn twice as much fat than if you didnt work out.
I have come to see it as a really big game. Most of the time I lose, but that just makes me try harder.
