Im talking shit? Many or most of the problems posted on this site are solved by people who work at dealerships. If you dont know what you are talking about (and you didnt) dont try to help, it only confuses people and makes what can be a frustrating situation worse.

By the way the dealer will charge approx 1 hour labor to pull a radio and retrieve a code, at most places thats a minimun of $75

Im not sure if the "1-6" s/n retrieval will work on an '01 but it might. At my dealeship if a service writer does it,there would be no charge. If a mechanic does it there will be a minimal charge.
