Again...15"s on a 5th Gen???...Why?
They are 15" team dynamics wheels. 15X7 with a +45mm Offset.
I wanted to run some good tires. 225/50/15 yokohama A032R's....and this was the size I wanted to run. I also chose 15's because of the lower moment of inertia. I am an engineer and I understand the effects moment of inertia has on rotating mass....which consists of the wheel/tire combo. 15's give me a large advantage in acceleration and decelleration......and dyno around 0-12WHP more than 17-18" set ups. My car isn't made to impress anyone.....as I rather mod it for speed/handling. I have tein SS coilover with upgraded rear springs that are cornerweighted....I threw on a rear progress bar with endlinks....and have the strut bars. I am lowered about 1.3-1.5 inches...and run -1 degree of camber in the rear...and a hair more in the front. The car handles VERY well.....I don't know the skidpad numbers exactly...but its probably in the realms of 1.0+G skidpad. Probably higher.
I have the i/h/test pipe/e and 1 step colder plugs/spark plug wires. I also am running Hawk HP+ brake pads with ss lines...and dot 4 fluid. Stock OE blank rotors.
I'll try and get some video footage one of these weekends when I take it out on the canyon roads. I usually run with 350Z's and s2000's.....and they don't even stand a chance. I usually run a couple turns and wait up for them. granted we are at all different driving levels....but the major difference is just how good these tires grip....much better control...and much more grip. Cornerweighting the car also made a huge difference...as left and right turns turn equally. I spent a day testing tire pressures and different rear sway bar settings...and the car handles with just a hair of oversteer when I cruise with the car in gear.....I can let off the accelerator to get a little oversteer....and get on the throttle to increase oversteer. My driving style usually is controlled by the throttle...so I am forced by nature of my set up to drive fast throw corners on the throttle
