It can NOT be looked up by the vin unless you are at the dealership where it was origionaly sold and they recorded the code in their personal database. Otherwise the radio has to be removed to get the serial number. The s/n is then entered into Acura's dealer web site and acura gives the code.

Im reporting how my problem was solved, i do know wat im talking about. I sed that they used my VIN to get the code, and ur saying they can only if its stored. u make a point, but how was i supposed to know?... The nice man at acura showed me where to find the serial # next time, it was hiding by my glove box. Im trying to help the man out. Dont talk shit!
