yes the AMP did have a saftey light, however, the saftey light would stay on ever when the car was off.

I have the remote (blue and white) running straight back to the amp,

There is a prong connection between the remote wires, is this prong neccisary, or can i just splice the two wires and hook them up directly to each other?
