if you think the remote wire is bad,any small wire will work.check the fuse on your power cable,try different grounds,check if your protection light is on,check your amp fuses,check speaker wire,make sure your battery terminal is tight enough,make sure your rcas are still in,if you have a coverter..play around with the wires that run to your rear speakers,play with the crossover point,if all of this fails you probably blew the amp...see if it smells like shit.
