ok so i ripped into the b16a2 im selling the block there is nothing wrong with the pistons rings cylynder walls the head gasket looks fine and the valves are fine on the head. however the head is a type r so im going to swapp the head onto my stroked b16 and put my skunk 2 cams in the head. than im gonna boost and spray. i really am stumped as to why there was no compression in 3 ? :^\ hmpf but the head looks really good there was no evidence of valve slapp at all the motor has all Gsr internals with a type
R crank so im at a loss. the only thing i can think of is that the timing was off just enough that the valves werent closing all the way. I dont know. but the journey continues. i havent gotten to the coolent bleeding yet but im shure thats what it is. so ill probably do that tomorrow. im gonna pick up a new head gasket tomorrow and were gonna swapp heads on saturday. but i do have one question about the cam timing. when the motor is at tdc the rotor is pointing @ #1 i was told that the veary end lobes on the cams should be pointing at echother and thats how you know that the cams are timed correctly is this right or not and if not how do i know if the cams are tdc. i have skunk 2 camgears and i dont know what marks are what on the cams. thanks again too all who have helped in the past, now, and in the future. this sight rocks you all have helped me so much. thanx 2 everyone.
If You Build It You should Boost It. If its Stock ........ You should Boost It......
