I agree about the Daewoo-built Maitz--its small size could make it quite vulnerable in the USA with its numerous pickup trucks, SUV's, minivans and large tractor-trailer rigs on the freeways.

But the new small car derived from the Honda Fit (which is coming about a year from now for the US market) and the new Nissan Tiida (which may make to the US market as a 2007 model) are designed with modern safety standards in mind, so they won't be dangerous for passengers in the car.
