My impression is that the Daewoo's don't get very good mileage compared to, say, a Toyota. If the mileage isn't best in class, or very nearly, there would be no point.
But if Chevy can sell them for $7,000 and 0% apr for 3 years, I can see many people have many good reasons to get one. Look at aveo, for $10,000! There are things a chevy can't do that toyota can, and vice versa (well maybe toyota can have 0 apr for as long as they want, but they won't, because they don't have to).
