I have a 2001 CL that had one owner before me (a lease) and after buying the car the dealership gave me all the documentation it had for the car owners manual, spare key etc but one piece missing was the identification card for the radio that gives the code.

Its on its original battery and while its doing ok it turns a little slow and I'm thinking its about time to be considering a new Battery. Understanding that if the car loses power in the battery switch the radio won't work.

I consulted my local Acura dealer and when they did my last oil change they looked but to no success for the sticker. Then I called the dealership the car was originally sold at but they had dumped their 2001 records a month ago and don't have the information any longer.

I'm looking to avoid the labor charge to having the radio taken out to get the serial number. Any ideas. Where should I be looking for that sticker?? Is there any other way to get the code from the vin number perhaps?
