correct me if im wrong but does it say 38T on that braket ?? what car are those from? they are supposed to say 28T thats basically telling you the kinda of rotor that it can fit, 38 is kinda big, since the rotors you will be getting will be 23mm so 28T means that you have 5mm difference but its so small that you dont need a spacer, 38T on the other hand is quite an amount, although if might work still.
yes pistons are supposed to look like that.
honing means your polishing the cilynder walls, ever heard of honing a block, its the same thing, you buy a honer (haha) at pepboys and still it to your drill and your basically high speed sanding the cylinder so its smoooth. and you want to take everything apart and soak them all in degreaser.
its gonna be a little pain in the ass to get the pistons out, but what you can do is place a piece of wood in between the pistons, so they wont have much travel when they come out, and from the bleeder line basically pump air in there anyhow u can so the pistons can pop out, its under high pressure so when those things come out oh man duck!!
