I've had a 3 way crossover sitting in my closet for over 2 months now. Is it possible to install the crossover without having to hook up another amp???
Right now I have an amp for my subs, and I have an extra smaller amp sitting around that I could use for the front speakers, but I am wondering if that is the only way that I can hook up the crossover. I would prefer just hooking up the crossover right after the HU, before the speakers and the amp. Right now the system sounds "loud" enough for me, so I don't really care too much about adding the extra amp, but I do want to add the crossover to adjust the front, rear, and subs seperately so it will sound nicer. Can anyone help? Or is adding that amp the only way around it? I'm kinda lazy about having to add a dist block and the other amp, and having to splice the HU speaker wires to run to the amp, and then run everything to the crossover, and then back to the speaker wires, blah blah blah.
