I worked on a used car lot years ago. They were not going to put any money into a car unless it had an obvious problem. The sales manager did some sneaky things to cars. I remember one time he had a whitewall tire on a car with 3 blackwalls. I watched him take tire black and paint over the whitewall, heh heh. Another time a car had a bent bumper. He took a block of wood and hammered it between the plastic covering and the beam to make the bumper smoother. The fun part was that he asked me to keep the cars driven, so I obliged. :rick:
Do your homework and do the Carfax. If the price too low watch out. About a year ago I was eyeing this nice little used 2002 Civic displayed prominently out in front of the dealer, and couldn't believe the price. I inspected the outside (it was after closing time) and noticed that the windshield looked a little askew. Suspicious, I went home and did a Carfax and there were nine reports on it.
