Yeah that's messed up about water in your engine bay. I detail myself so the first thing you suppose to do is cover up your distributor. Everything else you can spray whatever chemicals you're going to clean motor. Let sit a while. You can also clean your hood. Engine doesn't have to be running. Once you gunk your entire engine , spray off engine with a hose, pressure washer etc. You should then start engine rev on it few times then you can turn off engine. Use air blower to dry engine completely. After that you can remove plastic from dist. & dress engine formula 2001 or armor all etc. That'll give your motor that new look. I would change plugs, wires & dist. Be careful in future or clean your own engine to avvoid that from happening again. Gingas
