Yea my grandma only worked at a body shop for about hrm maybe 15 yrs. But she never wore masks when she worked on cars. And note this was 15 yrs before she died so she was in her 50s. She was a trooper. And man was it weird seeing her with her O2 tank after seeing her be such a tough woman. But yea its tough....
same with my dad. he wasnt at the body shop that long, but i was 17 when his cancer surfaced and he worked at the shop before my mom was pregnant with me.
Seeing my dad go from looking like a 50 year old man, to looking older than my grandfather, KILLED me. He could barely get his words out, gasped for every breath, couldnt taste anything...but he kept his sense of humor, right up till the night before he died.
