yeah, she was like 14 when she got it. Kinda sucks, she was so strong throught the whole chemo shit. Like I remember during that time i was sad because of something stupid and then shes there with no hair on her head and shes still got her head high. I went and just cried from that experience. So she's in remission? She beat it? What kind was it?
My bestfriend has lupus, which is kind of like cancer. She went through chemo and radiation when she was about 16-17...lost all her hair. She's in remission now, but it can resurface at any point. The tiniest things can trigger it, like too much sunlight, too much alcohol, smoking, etc. She can't have kids beause it could kill her. She's really limited as to what she does. I look at her and it helps me deal with petty shit that bothers me everyday, because i realize that i could be hanging on for dear life..and the fact that you never know when it's over helps me through everyday.
So sad.
