That is an old quote from me. A pre 1975 has no test in CA, no visual, no tailpipe. It is pretty random, my intake has no sticker or number on it, never a comment, I have not been asked for proof of insurance on any of my vehicles since I came back to CA in 2002. They don't even check if the brakelights work, and they are going to say a car is illegal because the ignition timing is off by 1 degree, who are they trying to help, because it definitely is not me.
