As for retrofitting, from my understanding, it means taking out the original housing, modify it so it will accept the optics salvaged from other OEM HID housing for instance: like taking the optics of a TL and putting on Civic housing.

In my case I was just looking to replace with OEM HIDs available on the newer Celica. Mea Culpa for the confusion.
