-The battery is the original that came with the car, so 5 years old.
-About the foot on gas thing, I read somewhere online that a richer mixture of fuel and air makes it easier to ignite. Unable to find that site, I found others sayin this does NOT apply to fuel injector cars, and may do nothing or may even damage the engine. Crap. Hope I didn't damage the engine too much in a week.
-Anyway, thanks for the advice. The car almost didn't start on me today, so I'm going to replace the battery tomorrow.
