A lot of people go for the 2"+ drop and many of them regret going down so far. Also, the closer you are to the ground if you have a cold-air intake, the greater the chance of a hydro-lock if you run over a puddle.

Kinda' sucks when you spend all that money dropping 2.25" and realizing you can only go 1mph over speed bumps, driveways, and puddles. :doh: Or you can opt for coilovers and adjust them to your liking.
My frieinds del sol is lowered 2.25 in the front and 2 in the rear with kYB's and the ride is nice and it does not scrape at all going over speed bumps or down or up driveways.
