the only difference an LSD will make is in a launch or on a auto-X track

the engines power is beside the point, like its been stated.
an LSD is the FWD equivalent of a POSI on a RWD car.
it simply means both front wheels are forced to spin at nearly equal speeds, technically the "same" amount of TQ is spread between both front wheels.
