That's how I know about the 5w-20....it even says in her car to never use 5w-30 for any reason and too change it out at the next service immediately if you do so?
They did the same thing with the CL & TL Type-S engines. The engines from 2001 to 2002 were exactly the same, but in 2002 they started recommending 5w-20.
The reason for this is simple, and it's not for our protection. The thinner oil helps raise Honda's Fleet CAFE MPG stats a miniscule amount. With the increased sale of SUV's, Minivan's, etc, They are looking for every little percentage point they can get when it comes to Fleet MPG. On my 2002 TL-S, I ran 0w-30 in the winter, and 5w-30 in the summer.
