Damage is more likely to happens to springs and retainers and rockers than to the valves themselves. If you had bent a valve, there'd be significant damage to the piston and the engine would most likely be out of commission already.

Definitely take the car to a mechanic well versed with VTEC motors.. check the valve clearance, inspect the retainers. Also look over the VTEC solenoid, the hydraulic system & confirm that the small locking pins in the center rocker arm are not bent, and that they are properly engaging the outer rocker arms. All of this can be done without taking the head off the block.

You may need new valvesprings and retainers, but I'd be surprised if you need new valves.

In the future, I'd look into an ignition based rev limiter. h:
