Chad, here's what my 98-02 4 banger service manual says;

for 98-00 models:
10W-30 when driving in climates from 20-100+
5W-30 when driving in climates from -20-100+

for 01-02 models:
5w-20 for the whole range

I have no idea why it would possibly change :dunno: Maybe Honda was doing it for MPG and emissions reasons? My 98-99 V6 manual has the same temp ranges as the 4 banger manual does for 98-00 4 cylinders. Does anyone know what the 00-02 V6 manual says to use for oil?

Yes it's 5w-20 for the 2002 V6, my sister has the sedan That's how I know about the 5w-20....it even says in her car to never use 5w-30 for any reason and too change it out at the next service immediately if you do so?
