The key got stuck because they didn't properly align the shifter after reinstalling the new tranny. The key won't come out until your car fully is in park. If the shifter cable is off a hair it was cause the key to get stuck. If this happens again push the shifter as far forward as you can then turn key and pull out. I would take it back to them and request that someone with half a brain fix the problem.
