If memory serves, the Canadian market requires DRLs. So I'd look for CDM wiring diagrams for your model year and copy those changes to your headlight wiring.

Also, most factory DRLs use a resistor to lower the wattage at which the high-beams run. I'd strongly recommend following their lead. I can guarantee you'll have a lot of people pissed off if you're right behind them with your high beams on at full wattage.
