They don't really seize up, they just break into peices. When that happens, you suffer from all kinds of trans inputput shaft problems because it is now free to bounce around.

I've been sufferering random input shaft problems lately, so I have a clutch kit and new pilot bearing waiting for me to get off my ass and fix it.
