Well, with the Us consuming 50% of the world's resources, I'd say we have a fairly large personal impact. We have to realize we all have to work together to protect ourselves, and every person's imput counts.
I wanted to say this the last thread but it was locked. Anyhoos, the US uses 25% of the world's total energy. The proper response to this fact is that we also produce about 25% of the world's GDP, and we are the leader in world industrial output. So, all the energy we use is to keep the world's economy going. The US is caught in a delicate catch 22 where we catch a lot of blame for wasting energy (which isn't totally untrue, but a lot of what we use is necessary), but if anything were to happen to our industrial output the rest of the world would be entirely screwed.
