if abs is kicking in, it doesn't matter what tires you have...with snow tires, you will be able to brake harder/stop faster without abs kicking in

abs comes on when it senses one of your tires is about to/alread is locking up..a tire will lock up and slide once its amount of grip has been exceeded..so if you have a stickier tire, you will be able to stop faster as opposed to a shitty tire...same applies to snow and snow tires because snow tires will obviously provide more grip
