Compared to other imports, Honda transmissions are a pain in the ass to rebuild. It's probably a lot less hassle and a hell of a lot cheaper to just get a used tranny with a warranty and swap 'em. Just make sure the junkyard gets the make/model right. No reason you couldn't pull it off for around $250-$350 if you look in the right places. Rebuilding the simpler import gearboxes at a transmission shop usually starts around $650 just for stock parts.
