The sizes don't have to be the same. However the smaller sized one will determine the volume size. So if you use a 30GB and an 80GB, the volume will only be 60GB.
and you lose the extra space on the bigger drive. unless you have a special raid controller that allows you to use the left over space. there is only 1 company in the world that allows you to do that.
Yes I work for them. However their current SATA and IDE products do not allow that. The newer sata products that are coming out will allow you to do this.
