99 accord v6 occasional stall
99 accord v6 with 120k miles.
Twice now, in the last month, when starting the car, it will start and almost immediately die. in order to successfully start the vehicle I have to (after it starts initially), feather the throttle to keep it running (albeit running rough).
after about a minute of this the engine starts acting normally. Afterwards the car starts fine.
It also has an occasional miss at idle (at other rpm's the miss is not present).
after the 1st time this happened:
I had a dealership check the fuel pump/pressure, it was ok.
I changed the plugs and put some injection cleaner that the dealership recommended.
checked vacumm readings and hoses
checked Idle air control valve (as per hayes manual) it check ok.
After the 2nd time, I check to see if I could hear the main relay click (it did).
I am not sure what to check/test next
everything on this car seems to carry a hefty replacement cost, so I don't want to just throw parts at it.
Has any one alse had a similar issue? If so what was the culprit?
