I have the Skunk 2 dual bend on my G3. The added weight of the shifter results in smoother and more positive shifting. The shifter utilizes sealed bearings and therefore has a smooth motion without binding. It's also made of a high strength alloy so I highly doubt this shifter is going to break.

I don't believe the single bend is better then the dual or vice versa.
