It's also better to change it hot! Just make sure you have a container that can withstand high temperatures such as a metal bucket or something. When I say hot, I don't mean engine temperature. You need to drive the car to warm up the tranny. Go drive around at a decent speed to warm it up. Then put it on ramps and change it asap. This helps get more sediment out of the tranny while hot.
