Has your family honestly ever been on welfare, gone hungry because there wasn't enough money left in the month, had to buy rice or beans in bulk because at the end of the month it may just be the last weeks meals?

Seriously I am wondering this and not trying to pick at you.
No we have not. I am not saying that we did not go through some hard times. When I was growing up my dad was a musician and a teacher and he would teach during the day and play broadway shows in the evening and weekends as well as do recordings and other jobs he could get. He worked two full time jobs and his extra recordings could be seen as side jobs. He did whatever he had to in order to put food on the table for us.
