I have health insurance from my job. My union fought for my insurance (another reason why I'm voting for Kerry is that he is pro-union). At the same time, my job pays me relatively well, compared to the median wage of people in their early twenties around here. With that said, the amount that my company pays for my health insurance is equal to
half of my gross pay. If I wasn't getting my health insurance from my company, I wouldn't pay for it, because that would send me to the poor house.
