National ID card is like having to carry a passport to travel within the US' own border. This ID card would only be an ID card but would be nationally recognized as uniform document.

The problem with it that I see is that it could be copied and forged easily regardless of how they do it....they did the new $20s less than a year after release This would mean illegal aliens and all that comes with it could easily obtain them. This is only one of many potential issues with it aside from causing a police state like action to follow in its creation.
